Our team consists of specialists who have specialized in the field of building-integrated energy generation through photovoltaics and its storage. Many years of experience in the field of small and large projects (MW - area) and our own developments have shaped our team and matured into experienced specialists. The sun is our DNA. We advise and plan for our customers worldwide and are active in over 25 countries. We are proud to be able to contribute to the energy transition.

How it all started...

  • In 2011, the company founder founded a company that had set itself the task of developing aluminum patio roofs and carports. At this time, the first electric vehicles were developed in Germany. Two concept vehicles, which anticipated the design, were on the IAA 2011 with the BMW i3 Concept and the BMW i3 Concept Coupé as a three-door variant on the LA Auto Show 2012, presented.
  • At the beginning of 2014 we received an unusual request from the manufacturer. We were asked whether it would be possible to charge one of these electric vehicles with one of our stylishly designed carports.
  • Although it was already possible to charge electric vehicles using existing photovoltaic systems at that time, only conventional PV modules could be used to achieve the power at that time. The challenge lay in the size of the PV system and, in addition, no modules that were conventional at the time should be used.
  • We accepted the challenge and developed a carport that was capable of charging an electric vehicle sufficiently, both in terms of design and PV power. The first laminated safety glass (BIPV) modules were used here.
  • In order to achieve the corresponding performance, bifacial modules were used after tests. Bifacial (or bifacial) modules enable a higher solar yield with the same area. Instead of a conventional serial connection, a special parallel connection of the glass/glass modules was made. Accordingly, an inverter had to be developed that was able to implement this type of connection. Finally, the whole system was coupled with a power storage unit to be able to charge an electric vehicle in the evening and at night.
  • After only two years of development, the first protocarport was built in Emsbüren. It is able to generate enough electricity on an area of ~24.5 m² (7 x 3.5 m) to sufficiently charge an electric vehicle.
  • Another major project was not long in coming. So we developed in Tunisia for the company TAC s.r.a.l. a system that produces fail-safe electricity with the help of our technology. A 15 MW PV/BIPV system that supplies fail-safe power in accordance with the company's specifications. The system was also equipped with two container power storage units to ensure the required power of 2.5 MW per hour.
  • In the meantime, we and our team are working on projects in over 25 countries. Especially in the area of Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV). This includes in particular our developments in the field of patio roofs and overhead glazing with solar modules.
